About Brighton Cohousing

Brighton Cohousing is an emerging group of people interested in the idea of cohousing. We have been meeting since September 2006.

The aims of Brighton Cohousing are to:
• gather and disseminate information about cohousing
• promote awareness of cohousing
• link people who are interested in cohousing
• encourage affordable accommodation within cohousing.

We are not a living-together group but we hope one or more cohousing projects will grow out of the links we make. There are a variety of visions within the group as it stands – for example, some wanting to live in Brighton, some wanting to live in the country – but quite a few are looking towards growing old in a more positive and congenial spirit. The group is small as yet, and as it grows other directions may emerge.

On 1 April 2008 we adopted a constitution and are becoming a membership organisation, but we are keen to hear from people and welcome everyone to our open meetings (see news and events).

Please support the work by becoming a member - only £10 a year and you will be eligble to vote at general meetings. Download a membership form.
